DEPOT (wherein resides the UNDEAD of Franz Kamin) presented by tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE
DEPOT (wherein resides the UNDEAD of Franz Kamin) is a three hour, forty minute documentary about the life and work of composer, writer, performer, and pianist Franz Kamin. Kamin (1941-2010) studied piano in Oklahoma & in Indiana in the 1960s.  Along with James "Sarmad" Brody & others, Kamin founded an avant-garde performance series in Bloomington that moved on to New York City & to Barrytown, NY. Despite a fantastically large & substantial body of work, Kamin remained largely unknown, except to specialists in the esoteric. Documentarian tENTATIVELY, a cONVENIENCE became friends with Kamin by 1977, and performed in his pieces in 1992 & 1993. He & Kamin stayed in touch until shortly before Kamin's death. FREE
